Staff & Board
Each staff member at the Ponoka Christian School has been carefully selected and approved by the Board based on their academic qualifications, experience and spiritual maturity. All staff exemplify an unselfish spirit of dedication to children and show an interest in the total development of each child. All teachers at Ponoka Christian School are fully certified in the Province of Alberta.
Staff must possess a firm belief that the Christian school ministry is a service to God and reflect at all times a devotion to the Lord Jesus Christ by standing as a Christian example in both appearance and conduct.
The Board of Directors at Ponoka Christian School consists of a body of elected officials who serve a three-year term. Their role is to govern the school according to and act upon as a representation of its Society’s desires. All Board members are to be sensitive and helpful in maintaining a good relationship between parents and the school, all members of the Society, Society and PCS employees and between Society and community.
Numerous committees assist the Board in executing its duties. These committees include the Education Committee, Finance Committee, Transportation Committee, Facilities/Maintenance Committee, Development Committee, Auction Committee, Thanksgiving Committee, Fall Drive, Hot Lunch, Library Committee and Special Events Committee. These committees consist of gracious and talented volunteers who are willing to share their God given talents and time to help run the Ponoka Christian School.
